PRESS RELEASE: PHLPOST GIVES BLOOD

With the aid of Philippine Red Cross (PRC), the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPOST) gathers its karteros’ (mailman) in the historic Manila Central Post Office Building for blood-letting today, November 21, 2018 from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

The blood-letting activity is in line with the celebration of 251st Postal Service Anniversary of PHLPost and is organized to give back to the public who continue to patronize the postal system. 

Spearheaded by Dra. Melody P. Olavidez, Manager, Human Resource Management Department and Dra. Teresita Cyd Campos, the project is expected to cater more than 200 blood donors which will yield an average of 90,000 ml of blood.

After the activity, the bags of blood will be turned over to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for screening and testing to ensure a safe blood supply to patients.

The blood donors will receive a certificate of appreciation after the event.
