PRESS RELEASE: PHLPost receives 'Service Platinum Award'

Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) bagged a Blood Services Platinum Award during the Blood Donors Recognition Ceremony 2018 held at PRC Multipurpose Center, Mandaluyong City.

In seven years of active partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), PHLPost has given 662 blood units to support the promotion of voluntary blood donation and in the organization of mass blood donation activities. PRC aims to commend voluntary blood donors as they play a key role in having an adequate blood supply for those in need of transfusion.

“Every Filipino can be a Red Cross volunteer,” PRC Chairman and Senator of the Republic of the Philippines Richard Gordon said in the awarding ceremony. He added that PRC wants blood to be accessible and hopes to build more blood banks in the coming years.

Human Resource Management Manager Melody Olavidez attended the awarding ceremony as PHLPost representative stating that she wants to extend the recognition to PHLPost employees who supports the management’s initiative in blood sharing.

PHLPost will always be one with PRC’s advocacy.
