Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital (DDVMH) is a private 100-bed tertiary hospital in Mayombo District, Dagupan City. With more than 150 highly-trained medical practitioners and paramedical personnel, it is considered one of the leading health care institutions in Northern Luzon. Keeping pace with the healthcare trends, it enjoys a consistent reputation of delivering professional and personalized patient care with standards comparable to leading hospitals in the country today.
DDVMH was founded by Dr. Vivencio V. Villaflor, Sr., a surgeon and visionary from Pitogo, Quezon. Displaced by World War II, he brought his wife Pilar Villasenor, pharmacist, and his practice up north to Pangasinan. In 1946, amidst the ravages of war, the physician opened the Villaflor Clinic in Dagupan at the then abandoned Dr. Armando Fernandez Hospital Building.
In 1967, son and surgeon VivencioVillaflor, Jr., M.D. would join his father’s practice along with his wife, anaesthesiologistGregoria Poblete, M.D., after completing their residency at the Philippine General Hospital. In 1968, with their joint efforts, a new Villaflor Clinic and Hospital was opened along Arellano St., Dagupan City. On September 27, 1981, as a full-pledged medical complex rising in Mayombo District, it was inaugurated and fully-operational with highly-skilled consultants and paramedical staff providing quality hospital service. And on October 3 of the same year, the hospital was renamed Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital, Inc. in honor of its founding patriarch and roster of competent specialists.
To this day, DDVMH continues the tireless quest to stay on top of the ever-increasing demand for expertise, services, and treatment facilities that will provide the most comprehensive and bestpossible patient care.
